Creative expression and exploration become even more fun and juicy when we employ different materials and various approaches to reflect our ideas, visions, feelings, and experiences. We can journal with words to unearth new discoveries and record aspects of our lives. But what if we infuse our journaling with images, collage, stamps, sketches, or watercolor? Then, our expressions become experiences, our subconscious has more vectors for revelation, and our creative process becomes richer and more playful.

In this workshop, multi-disciplinary artist and engineer Violeta Tayeh encourages us to blend materials, language, symbols, and colors as we fill our journals and sketchbooks with drawings, collage, found materials, and more. Violeta will share her approach and philosophy and guide us through exercises so we can practice different modes of creative assemblage on our own.
